Covid-19 Memorial, Rockaway Queens

We partnered with Kristina Libby, founder of Floral Heart Project for a memorial event at Rockaway Beach in Queens. With cooperation from Queens community activist Rubén Cruz, the event featured the Willie Martinez Trio, the Black Surfers Association and The Salvation Army. The floral heart project was initiated to recognize lives lost through COVID and allow for remembrance and release. After being carefully constructed, the floral arrangement was cast out into the Atlantic.
